WRMF to host diabetes discussion with Jezabel Maisonet

 

Diabetes is a major problem and growing.  Jezabel Maisonet, Caridad Center PET Program Director, will discuss the problem on WRMF radio ( 97.9) program.  Jezabel will offer tips how people can live with the disease with "South Florida Today" host Jennifer Ross.  The public affairs show will air Sunday morning, July 22, from 6 a.m to 7 a.m..

Caridad Girl Scouts Go to DC For 100th Birthday

CARIDAD GIRL SCOUTS FLY TO WASHINGTON TO CELEBRATE

100th ANNIVERSARY OF GIRL SCOUTS, SEE THE CAPITAL SIGHTS  


 After months of bake sales, car washes garage sales and generous contributions from Caridad staff, Board members, friends and family, Girl Scout Troop 20230 enjoyed a spectacular long weekend in Washington DC to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of their organization.

Led by Scout Leader Scarlett Fave and Jamie Kelly, the 22 members of the troop and six scout mothers boarded a jet to Washington to participate in the ceremonies held on the Great Mall. The group was able to make the trip truly memorable by touring the Capitol Building, museums and then cap the weekend off with a river cruise before heading home.

Financial support for the trip included Anna Marie King, Carmen Nieves, Steve Miner, Sugar McCully, Penny Kosinsky, Jen and Geoff Martin, Frank and Mary DiPino, Evelyn Ayres, Dr. Paul Archaki, The Wellington Group, Marie Hantack, Barbara Pearlman, Keith Gabbett, Rita Rana, Gina Sallinger, Michael and Heather Mercorrella, Lucas Prata, Scott and Kathy DiPino, Peter and Maris Germann, Lucille Guzman and Caroline Moran.
