Diabetes Self-Management Training Offered For Community Leaders

Caridad Center is offering a four-day course for community members leading to a certification in diabetes self-management.

Classes will be held Aug 23, 24 and August 30, 31 from 9 am to 4 pm each day at the Palm Health Care Pavilion, 5205 Greenwood Ave., West Palm Beach, 33407.

Topics include:

• Defining diabetes in simple terms.
• Identifying common problems of those suffering with diabetes.
• Learning the tools needed to balance and manage diabetes.
• Learning your role  in care and management.
• Defining healthy eating.
• Learning how a good eating plan helps manage diabetes.
• Creating future action plans.
