Capital Giving

In December 2012, Caridad Centers' Board of Directors voted to embark upon its most ambitious fundraising campaign ever. Over the course of nearly 20 years since the current 7,500 square foot facility was completed, the number of children, their parents and grandparents who have sought medical and dental care and social services has steadily grown reaching 26,000 patients visits last year alone. Caridad Center is Florida's largest free clinic and the need continues to grow as more and more people turn to Caridad as their medical and dental provider.

Plans for the renovation of the existing facility and an 11,000 square foot addition are complete. The expansion includes a full eye clinic, a health communication/education center, 6 additional medical exam rooms, 3 additional dental exam rooms with one equipped for oral surgery and a complete Outreach Center for social services, and much needed office and meeting space. Loyal donors and area healthcare foundations have contributed $4.5M toward the $5M capital campaign.
